The other day we went riding at Sixth Ave. in Nashville and Lucas pulled this out! Lucas has been riding for some time now, but still pushes himself to do new stuff. Solid rider and a solid dude.

Here is a quick clip from Neal Heary at Sixth Avenue Skatepark in Nashville, TN. We have been doing a series of quick edits from all of our riders so that we can keep everyone updated as to what we all are up to. Neal has been off of his skates for nearly 7 months now because of his knee injury. With the help of his new custom brace he is able to get his boots back on! This clip is from a few days ago riding some local spots in downtown Nashville with Lucas. Beautiful January day for a session. It was a bit difficult with traffic, but a great spot.

While our man Joel is out of commission we wanted to share this edit with you guys once again! Joel is out recovering from knee surgery but it is all going right on schedule! If you don’t know who Joel Barnett is you will by the end of this write-up. I may not be able to tell you everything about Joel but I know enough about him to write this! I met Joel at the iMatter Festival last year in Elmira, NY. He was cruising the skatepark that Enemy Opposition was in and we all could tell that he was insanely good at riding his bike. We all got to talking to him and couldn’t help but notice his positive demeanor. He was smiling the entire time we were talking and was excited to hear more about our team and what we were about. We were able to keep in touch with Joel and invited him out to an event we were doing in Virginia. Joel fit right in with all of the guys on the team and it was great to have another guy around that had a heart of service in devotion to Christ. During the trip we were able to do 2 large school assemblies and 1 full demo and Joel rode incredibly well during all of the shows. After the trip we all ended up going our separate ways but the feeling of being a family never leaves when you’re a part of Enemy Opposition. Shortly after that Virginia trip we heard word that Joel had hurt his knee, and over the course of a few months he found out that he needed surgery in order to repair the ligament damage he had sustained. I can relate to this injury because I have also had a serious knee injury that took me away from my sport. I wanted to write this blog as an encouragement to Joel in his time of injury and to let him know that we are praying for him. I would like to encourage anyone who is reading this to keep Joel in your prayers as well. This type of injury has the ability to tear someone down, especially someone whose career was their sport. We have confidence that we will see Joel recover because in all things we know that God works for the good of those who love him. Please keep Joel in your prayers and join EO in asking God for a speedy recovery so we can get our brother back on his bike!

Well my name is Andrew Tyler Rickman, but I simply go by Tyler and a various arrangement of dumb nicknames (T-Ricky, Ricky, Ricky Bobby, Etc.). I was born on November 29, 1990 and raised in the small town of White House, Tennessee, which is just north of Nashville. It’s safe to say that I’ve always been a Nashville local. I absolutely love Nashville!! It’s filled with style, culture, and music, but mainly it’s home. I’ve been riding little kids bikes for about 7 years now and it’s something I passionately love and will never give up. BMX has been so good to me and I can say I wouldn’t be the person I am today without it, because it has given me so many great memories and experiences that are unforgettable. From traveling to meeting new people to riding crazy things and just cruising with friends, it has been a center point of my life. Aside from BMX I love to hang out with close friends, watch movies, go out, eat, anything fun, crazy or stupid (thats a recipe for a good time). Other activities include riding my dirt bike (I’m new to that, scary), snowboarding, cliff diving, going out on the boat, fishing, filming, bonfires, star gazing and so much more. When it comes to music I can’t say I like everything because that’s just not true. It’s hard to name genres I like so I’ll just name some favorites (Country Music, Taylor Swift, Lucero, Adele, City and Colour, John Mayer, James Morrison, Mumford and Sons, Kings of Leon, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Brandon McGregor haha). I feel that I am a loving and caring person and I would have to blame my upbringings of sweet Southern Hospitality!! Nothing like some good ole manners; opening doors, yes ma’am, yes sir, please and thank you. I can say Sweet Tea runs in my veins! I would die without it because there is nothing that can take its place. But aside from who I am and the things that make me who I am, there is only one thing that truly makes me who I am and that is the Salvation that has been given to me by my Lord Jesus Christ. God is the reason I am able to do what I do and I have turned from the ways of the world and chosen to live for Him because He lived and died for me. Deciding to take what I do and share God’s love with it was the best decision I could have made in life and I will live for Him in every way I can. While BMX has been a center point in my life, God is the reason for my life and He is the cornerstone of my life, my refuge, my father, my Savior. Tyler Rickman; This is who I am, nice to meet you!
I would like to take some time to highlight a guy who is new to the Enemy Opposition team but you would never know it. Tyler Rickman has been a member of the EO family for almost a year now and he has already left his mark. Tyler is a stand up guy who loves ministry with his whole heart and is really excited that he gets to use his bike as a tool to reach out to anyone who has time to take a look. He has been riding for many years and you can tell as he rides because you can sense a confidence in his riding that is only gained from countless hours dedicated to his sport. EO was excited to have him come on a short tour through Western and Central NY this past summer as we performed at the Kingdom Bound Music Festival and the Spiedie Festival. He was a showstopper as he rode and an all around gentlemen off his bike. We are currently working on putting together a team profile for Tyler so be sure you come back to the site and keep a eye out for it!
Lucas Hastay has become a huge part of Enemy Opposition over the past few years and we are so glad to have an awesome guy like him be a part of this family! There are few people that I know that have demonstrated as much dedication to their sport and their own personal mission with Christ than Lucas Hastay! It is such a blessing that he was able to cross paths with Enemy Opposition and show us his dedication as well! Make sure you check out his new mini profile that was filmed and edited by John Andrus!
